Accomplished jazz musician Alp Bora makes the rich heritage of Anatolian music apparent and blend them with jazz tunes. Bora will deliver an enjoyful performance in Ankara with his owncolorful style. We appreciate the support of Austrian Embassy and EADS Company.
Guitarist Alp Bora was born in Istanbul and grew up in Ankara and Bagdat. He is living in Vienna since 1998. In 2002, he founded his own group named Nim Sofyan and they were granted the Austrian World Music Awards in 2004. Since that day, he performed over twenty countries in order to represent his country. He has been delivering performances also in Turkey since 2008.Besides Nim Sofyan, he has a self-titled trio and has an album with the group. They participate many international festivals in Europe and Russia. Bora also works in the organization of the Selam Orient Festival in Vienna which takes place every October. He organized a ten day festival at Porgy&Bess which is one of the most prestigious jazz clubs of Europe.
