Jülide Özçelik will give a fascinating performance in Ankara for the first time in her succesful music career. Özçelik has been a part of many music festivals with her group. Besides her own compositions, she also draws attention with her Turkish folk music interpretations. We appreciate the support of BOEING Co.
Jülide Özçelik was born in Istanbul. She has started his musical studies at Müjdat Gezen Art Center- Department of Western Music and graduated in 1988. She had an opportunity to participate the lessons of many precious musicians. In the same year, she earned scholarship from Istanbul Bilgi University - Department of Music. She took vocal techiques lessons from Nükhet Ruacan, Randy Esen and Yıldız İbrahimova; ensemble, harmony, solfege and classical Turkish music lessons from Can Kozlu, İmer Demirer, Raci Pişmişoğlu, Ayşe Özbekligil, Selen Gülün, Donovan Mixon, Ricky Ford and Timur Selçuk. She has majored in jazz vocal performance and has graduated from the same department. Özçelik, has succesfully reinterpreted Turkish folk music songs and released an album named Jazz Istanbul Volume-1. The album achieved a great success and her new album Jazz Istanbul Volume-2 was released in 2011.
