Dolce Vocal Jazz Trio is a group well-known in Ankara with their polyphonic arrangements of jazz standards, which they perform with choreography accompanied by orchestra. Their diverse repertoire ranges from 1940's Andrews Sisters songs to gospel and musicals, to group members' own arrangements. Dolce is preparing to create for the festival audiences a high-energy and fun jazz atmosphere. We appreciate the support of Samm's Bistro.
Merve Erdal, trained in classical guitar and classical/jazz choir in Turkey and US, began singing jazz with the Tuna Ötenel trio. She is a solo vocalist, a chorister and an arranger, taking the stage with leading jazz musicians of Turkey. Damla Güneş and Duygu Yücesoy come from musical theater background, participating in productions of METU Musical Society, Stage on the Run and Lemur Sanat as actresses, and as musical director and pianist (Duygu Yücesoy) and choreographer (Damla Güneş). Trained in classical violin, Damla Güneş began musical theater in US in 2004. She was nominated for best actress in Topper Awards in Germany in 2009 for her performance in Seussical. She recorded the album 'Once Upon a Time' with the progressive rock group Timesailor in 2011. Duygu Yücesoy brought her classical piano and voice training to musical stages. Apart from jazz, she frequently gives concerts as a singer of Latin music and flamenco.
