Ntjam Rosie vokal, gitar/ vocal, guitar
Alexander van Popta klavye/keyboards
Jorn ten Hoopen gitar/ guitar
Bas Kloosterman bas gitar/ bass
Tuur Moens davul/ drums
Ntjam Rosie is going to be in Ankara for the first time to share her 'adventurous' repertoire and energetic songs with us. Rosie, who assembles the rhythms of her motherland with Western tunes like soul and jazz, is preparing to meet the Ankara audience with her admirable colorful performance. Let's meet at this open air concert for enjoying the first days of summer. We appreciate the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Cameroon born Dutch musician Ntjam Rosie took her music education at Rotterdam Codarts Academy of Music. In 2009, she received the 'Music Matters Award' gaining her the title of music ambassador in Rotterdam and 'MCN World Up Award' for 'the most promising talent'. She has three albums which reflect her unique style: Atouba, Elle and At the Back of Beyond. In Elle that carries traces of the late 1970s, Ntjam Rosie merges soul and jazz with Brazilian rhythms. She has taught herself to play the guitar before her latest album, At the Back of Beyond which is an extrovert and new addition to her beautiful and adventurous repertoire. Ntjam Rosie participated in Istanbul Jazz Festival and Alanya Jazz Festival in previous years, gave concerts in various countries, among which are Thailand, Estonia and China, and took stage in North Sea Jazz Festival.
She has been nominated for the magazine ELLE Personal Style Awards but doesn't see herself as a fashion diva. 'I have often been portrayed as a diva, now it is time to show my true colors. And those colors are vibrant and clear.'
Ntjam Rosie concert, which was announced to be in open air will be held in the concert hall of CerModern due to the possiblity of rain.
