We are always delighted to host Kerem Gorsev and his countless projects since 19 years in the festival. This year the project is an album with his Trio with a well-known sax player Engin Recepoğulları. They are getting together on stage with one of the best vocalists of our times Yildiz Ibrahimova and Aydın Kahya for the Opening Concert of the Festival. Kerem Gorsev, one of most acknowledged jazz pianists of Turkey, adds a favorite saxophonist Engin Recepogulları to his trio with Kagan Yıldız and Ferit Odman. Having recorded around 15 albums since 1995, Gorsev has shared various formats of acoustic jazz with his audience, from the compositions he made for his trio to his arrangements for a philharmonic orchestra. His recordings out of the country and Istanbul have helped jazz music reach a wide audience in Turkey.
Having completed their last recording with the Trio and Engin Recepogullari, the group will perform pieces from the album and some jazz masterpieces with world-known improvisation master Yıldız İbrahimova and a well-known vocalist and trombonist Aydın Kahya.
