Kürşat Başar Orchestra was established in 2011. The band consists of Kürşat Başar on saxophone, Burçin Büke on piano, Cenker Sarp on base and İzzet Hiçkalmaz on drums. They have been performing with some of the best soloists in Turkey to this day. We are happy to host this romantic orchestra, in the 20th International Ankara Jazz Festival. We appereciate the support of Next Level Shopping Mall.

They have performed in many concerts and international festivals as well as many famous venues in Turkey. Famous artists such as Sezen Aksu, İlhan Şeşen, Yeşim Sakım, Yaşar, Levent Yüksel and Erol Evgin have all taken a part in Kürşat Başar's album titled 'Keşke Burada Olsaydın (Wish You Were Here)' that came out in 2012, and Ferhat Göçer , Nükhet Duru, Candan Erçetin, Ragıp Savaş, Soner Olgun , Nezih Ünen in the second album called ' Kaldığımız Yerden '.

The band's repertoire consists of a wide range of music genre from jazz and classics of latin to unforgettable oldies of Turkish Pop, their own songs and different takes on Turkish folk music.
