Growing inside an artist family and with Kamerun’s traditional rhythms, Charlotte Wassy meets Jef Giansily Quartet share the same stage for the first time. We appreciate Institut Francais Turquie and Samm’s Bistro.

Charlotte Wassy realizes that she was going to dedicate her life to music in early ages. She loves to express this in the most natural way, with her favorite instrument: her voice. Nourished by both French and Kamerun roots, Charlotte lives deep inside herself and loves to combine colors of jazz with her hybrid music and calls this new genre Instinctual Hybrid Jazz. In her artist vision; rhythms, sounds and movements combine inevitably.

French pianist, Jef Giansily moved to İstanbul after his musical education in Paris. He has been performing in gigs especially with the trio including Bassist Matthew Hall and Drummer Ferit Odman, or his new quintet featuring trumpet player Hermon Mehari.
