Ayşe Tütüncü Quartet
Ayşe Tütüncü piyano / piano
Sinan Altıparmak elektrogitar / electro guitar
Enver Muhamedi kontrbas / bass
Erdem Göymen davul / drums
With bands established starting from Mozaik, vocalist Ayşe Tütüncü has been performing in gigs, releasing albums and arrangements and also doing piano classes, group music classes and workshops (improvisation – self-expression in art – rhythm games). After eight years, Tütüncü ones again takes part in the International Ankara Jazz Festival. We appreciate the support of Samm’s Bistro for this concert.
Ayşe Tütüncü’s music including improvisations can be defined as the unique gathering of classical western music and the various musical traditions living in the big catchment area containing Anatoia and İstanbul, meeting each other on a jazz stage. Ayşe Tütüncü Quartet, inholds both piano and electo guitar in their sound combination. In their repertoire, they mostly give place to Ayşe Tütüncü’s compositions but also Sinan Altınparmak and Enver Muhamedi’s compositions. The band will also cover songs from masters such as Petrucciani, Hindemith and Marcel Khalife.
