Aimee Allen is a vocalist and composer who successfully merges the classic jazz music of her childhood with the international experiences of her life. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she began singing professionally with jazz a cappella groups in college. Successful guitarist Tony Romano will accompany her. Thanks to Redwood Entertainment for their contribution to the realization of this concert.

Aimée Allen is a vocalist and composer who successfully merges the classic jazz music of her childhood with the international experiences of her life. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she began singing professionally with jazz a cappella groups in college. Upon graduation she moved to Paris where she performed in clubs as well as festivals around Europe. While in France, she formed Les Bossa Novices, a group performing jazz and Brazilian Bossa Nova. Aimée sings in English, French and Portuguese. She has toured extensively in France, Italy, Russia and Senegal. When she settled in New York, Aimée began composing her own songs, some of her music has been licensed for feature films and television. She has performed with such well-respected musicians as Romero Lubambo, Ron McClure, Francois Moutin , Rozwell Rudd, Ari Hoenig, and Yomo Toro.In September, 2018, she released an exciting new album, "Wings Uncaged". It is is a collection of originals songs and reimagined standards, on the themes of transcendence and love, with winged creatures as metaphors. The album features Billy Test, François Moutin, and Kush Abadey. It reached #32 on the JazzWeek charts,#1 on the RMR jazz charts, and #8 on the NACC jazz charts; garnering a 4 star review in Downbeat Magazine's Best of 2018 issue.

Guitarist Tony Romano has been a visible part of the New York City music scene for over twenty years. Just Jazz Guitar magazine wrote “His tone is beautiful and soulful, and his remarkable technique is a servant to his rich musical imagination and broad harmonic palette.” With a wide range of playing styles, Tony has toured worldwide and performed and recorded with many notable Jazz, Latin, Pop, and Broadway artists, including Randy Brecker, Joe Locke, Michael Feinstein, Bill Warfield, Steve LaSpina, Joe Bataan, Dave Valentin, Candido Camero, Chembo Corniel, Yomo Toro, Joel Frahm, Thomas Chapin, Brit Woodman, Santi DeBriano, Paul Bollenback, Stanley Jordan, Debbie Gibson, Kat Gang, Alex Gemignani, and Chuck Cooper. Tony’s guitar work can be heard on all 52 episodes of the BBC series 3rd & Bird as well as the Discovery Channel miniseries Going, Going, Gone! He has also performed for NPR broadcasts, and has appeared on NBC’s The Today Show, Telemundo, and the ABC Morning Show. Tony is an Adjunct Professor at Five Towns College, and has been a Teaching Artist for the Kupferberg Center at Queens College, as well as an instructor for the National Guitar Workshop.
