Hakan Başar, who came to Ankara for the first time at the age of 12 for the Ankara Jazz Festival, will meet the audience at the 24th Ankara Jazz Festival in the style of jazz, blues, soul jazz, gospel and post bop repertoire for the concert that will be held "Online". We would like to thank Renault MAIS for their contribution to the concert.
After Hakan Başar, who was born in 2004 and started playing the piano at the age of 8, exercised his first part of studies with the curriculum of the names such as Noah Baerman, Bill Cunliffe, Andy LaVerne, Andrew D. Gordon, Walter Norris, Bill Dobbins, Jeb Patton, David Berkman, Neil Olmstead, John Valerio, Clare Fisher, he continued to his studies inspired by jazz piano styles like Michel Petrucciani, Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett, Kenny Barron, Hank Jones,Bill Evans,Tommy Flanagan, Sonny Clark, Art Tatum, Scott Joplin, Chick Corea, Thelonious Monk.
Başar, who performed his first concert when he was 10, took part in all elite jazz festivals in Turkey. In 2018, he completed his album recordings with Ferit Odman being in the first place and İmer Demirer, Kağan Yıldız, Halil Çağlar Serin. After the concerts of Akbank Sanat and the 26th Istanbul Jazz Festival, his first album, "On Top Of The Roof", was released from Ubuntu Music in England on October 18, 2019 and distributed to the whole world. After the album launch concert on October 22, 2019, Hakan took his first overseas experience with EFG London Jazz Festival and performed with Ferit Odman on drum and Çağlar Serin in bass at Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho. During the 5-6 week period including the concert date, the album tracks have been released many times on Jazz FM, which is one of the most important jazz radios in the world.
