Andrea Alberti 'Quartetto Mediterraneo' is the core of the well-known Mediterranean Orchestra. The musicians who play in the Quartet are among the most interesting Italian soloists of jazz music. The Sicilian musician Alberti proposes a refined path between jazz and solar Mediterranean rhythms, a heterogeneous musical 'excursus' that melts rigor and wisdom of occidental's forms with simple melodies of Mediterranean. Born in Trapani (Italy), pianist, synthesizer player, composer and arranger Alberti recorded 21 CD's and he played with many international artists: Ian Carr, Glen Velez, Layne Redmond, Antonello Salis, among others. He has participated in many jazz festivals in Turkey, the United States, South Korea, Colombia and France. He teaches jazz piano at the prestigious music school of Testaccio in Rome.
