Our festival welcomes the world-reknown pianist, Michiel Borstlap. The musician combines his high improvisation and composition skills with his great talent in Eldorado Project as he presents his complexive solos to your appetites. By using jazz, classical, fusion, very proffessionally on his piano, he would take you to an experimental trip with his outstanding performance.


BIOGRAPHY
He met piano at the age of 5. He graduated conservatory in 1992 and won his first prize in the European Jazz Contest. His first solo performance had been with his album Day Off which he had recorded with his own sextet. He took place in many festivals with his own trio and sextet. He won the Thelonious Monk Composition Contest with the song Memory of Enchantment which was recorded by Herbie Hancock afterwards. He signed a contract with Verve Records in 1999. He released the album Body Acoustic and he gave several concerts in Europe over this album. He composed the first Arabic Opera for İbn-Sina over the request from Emir of Qatar. He released his first solo album in 2000.
