Torsten Goods, a guitarist in the way of George Benson, a vocal that merges jazz and soul, is among the names that the festival brings to Ankara for the first time. He draws attention of the music critics as one of the best new male vocals. He is going to color up the festival with his enveloping stage performance. Son of an Irish mother and a German father Torsten Gutknecht, met jazz and guitar when he was a child. When he was 17, he discovered his improvisation talent and took lessons from the virtuoso gypsy guitarist Bireli Lagrene in Strasbourg. He became a student of the prestigious music school New York New School at the age of 20. He met his major influence George Benson here and started to sing with his encouragement. Besides, he had the chance to perform with the guitar legend Les Paul, who also gave him his artist name. He was invited to many international festivals with his Steppin album released in 2004 and Irish Heart album in 2006, which greets his Irish roots. After 1980 album, in which he covered the soundtracks of his birth year 1980, he played R&B for a while. Yet, his latest album Love Comes to Town has influences from the dynamic jazz ambiance of Berlin.
