Ülkü Aybala Sunat got known in the jazz circles with her success in 2007 Nardis Jazz Club Vocal Competition. In this festival, we are going to have the chance to listen to this strong voice that jazz lovers of Istanbul know well with her repertoire ranging from jazz standards to indie and alternative music. Ülkü Aybala Sunat started her music journey in Konya with classical Turkish music and then switched to jazz with her group S5. She won Sibel Köse Workshop Award in 2007 Nardis Jazz Club Vocal Competition and she participated in 'Pulawy Jazz Workshop' in Poland. She took stage in the 2nd Cappadocia Jazz Days. Besides her project of Jeff Buckley songs, she performs at various clubs and venues in Istanbul with her repertoire ranging from jazz standards to indie and alternative music.
An experienced jazz pianist, composer, arranger and an academician at Bilkent University Janusz Szprot, a bassist who made numerous recordings and performances with Turkish pop duyens Murat Ulus, and one of the best drummers of Turkey Cem Aksel are taking stage with Ülkü Aybala Sunat.
