Şirin Soysal and Bora Çeliker's guitar-vocal Duo project meets Janusz Szprot Trio. The band's repertoire will blend jazz standards with Soysal's original songs. We appreciate the support of Samm's Bistro.

Şirin Soysal was born in 1980 in Vienna, she graduated from Dublin Trinity College The Department of Theatre and got her master's degree in the field of cinema. Her debut album, titled Bir Şeyler Var received compliments with its original style that she called 'black cabaret' and with its different aura. Her second album Ziyaret that strolls around art-rock and art-pop genres was released in 2013. Soysal and her band became the first Turkish group invited to Ertegün Jazz Series in Washington D.C. Besides her compositions, she renders her repertoire that consists of jazz standards, Kurt Weill and cabaret classics, chansons and cult pop songs with her unique dramatic voice and stage performance.

Bora Çeliker, who plays the guitar since 1988, was known with his blues group The King Bees during his university years. He turned towards jazz in 1999 with the group he founded with Janusz Szprot. His debut album that he has recorded with İmer Demirer, Burak Bedikyan, Eric Revis and Ted Poor and that carried traces of post bop, avant garde, psychedelic rock and blues was released in 2012 with the title Borabook. Çeliker continues to work with distinguished jazz musicians and writes his column 'Borabook' on the Gitar magazine.
